Fall Fest

HOMEWOOD’S 17TH ANNUAL FALL FEST AND CHILI COOK-OFF SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 29 FROM 11:00 AM TO 10:00 PM

As the summer air begins to chill and the days get a bit shorter, it’s time once again for Fall Fest! Gather friend s and family to celebrate Homewood’s 17th annual Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off on Saturday September 29 from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Fall Fest offers something for the entire family! Stroll Martin Avenue and taste the delicious foods prepared by our local eateries and shop unique artisans. Dance and groove to musical acts, and enjoy the charm of the scarecrow contest, the annual Chili Cook-Off, magic show, pumpkin patch, horse drawn wagon ride, and a family movie all located on historic Martin Avenue. Fall Fest is free and there is ample free parking. 

Scarecrow Contest

The Village of Homewood and Homewood’s Beautification Committee are holding the 4th annual Scarecrow Contest. Contestants can show off their creativity and help beautify the Downtown Homewood area after the event. The scarecrows will be placed throughout the Village after event as part of the Fall decor! New this year: Participants will be able to have their scarecrows returned to them. Space is limited to 50 contestants. 1st Place receives $100, 2nd Place receives $50, 3rd Place receives $25, and People’s Choice $35.

Chili Cook-Off (Application)

Bring on your best Chili recipe in Homewood’s very own Chili Cook-off. There will be two judging categories: Armature and Professional. Proceeds from the Chili Cook-off tasting will benefit HF High School Choir traveling to Italy this spring to perform. Download your application Here or pick up your application at Village Hall. Awards are 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $75, 3rd Place $50 and Professional $100
