The Fire Pension Board is responsible for approving the eligibility of fire department employees entering the pension plan.  The Board approves pensions to be paid to retirees, disabled employees, their dependents, or survivors.  The Board also directs the investment of all funds held in the fire pension plan. The Board consists of five members:  two active firemen, one retired fireman, and two at-large citizens appointed by the Village President. Regular meetings are held quarterly.  Meetings are normally held in the Council Chambers of Village Hall. Members take state-mandated continuing education courses.
