The Village Board of Trustees dedicated over $25,000 of funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to support efforts to renovate and rehabilitate buildings in Downtown Homewood and other local neighborhood centers. 

Up to $5,000 per business was given as a matching grant for projects revitalizing or improving commercial and mixed-use buildings in Homewood's B-1, B-2, and B-3 zoning districts. Many projects are eligible for grants, from storefront remodels to updating exterior building materials and repairing and restoring historic structures.
