 HolidayLights Tour_ (2)

Homewood and Flossmoor are excited to introduce a brand-new holiday event that we hope will become a beloved tradition: the Homewood-Flossmoor Holiday Lights Tour! We are looking for festive homes to be featured on our official tour map. Families from both towns will board trolleys for a scenic ride to enjoy the incredible holiday displays in our neighborhoods.

  1. 1035 Sterling Take a ride through historic downtown Flossmoor as it shines with holiday lights and small-town charm.

  2. 904 Bruce Ave tune into 89.3.

  3. 18539 Argyle - A vintage-inspired holiday display shining with old-fashioned lights, classic blow molds, and lovingly hand-painted decorations, giving you that warm nostalgic feeling.

  4. 18543 Argyle Ave -We love to decorate our home during the holiday season. Been a tradition for such a long time.

  5. 2828 Birch - Residents of Homewood since 2007. We have a major love for Halloween and Christmas. We’ve incorporated the festive with the spooky. Although Gremlins is not a traditional Christmas movie, the entire plot takes place around Christmas time. We have Gremlin carolers, wearing Santa hats and even dressed fancy for the Holidays.

  6. 2125 Chestnut - The light up manger scene on the front door was custom made by our neighbor in Tinley Park over 50 yrs ago. I loved it so much, their children passed it on to me after Grandma Alice and Grandpa Bob passed away. The nativity set in the picture window was purchased by my parents after they were married in 1942. We bought the toy soldier on the front porch, when we purchased our 1st home in 1986.

  7. 2154 Spruce - Built in 1950, l am the 4th owner of this home. I moved in on July 5th 2004. Originally moved here to raise my son in a diverse and safe community with great schools. My son is now 30 yrs old. I love Homewood so much that I'm still here, and also work for the HF Park District at the HF Racquet Club as a fitness and aqua instructor. My home is also a winner of the 2025 Beautification Award.

  8. 1707 Cedar- Our home is a 1932 Sears kit home which we fell in love with because it looked like such a sweet little cottage - and we couldn't wait to decorate it for Christmas! Having grown up in the 80s and 90s in Homewood and Flossmoor, we enjoy the warm glow of vintage C7 bulbs that make us nostalgic for the Christmases of our youth. The white oak tree in the front of the house with cascading red lights was planted when we were married in 2014. We used to be able to wrap it in lights!

  9. 18426 Poplar - The original house was completed in 1935 and is one the oldest in the subdivision. When the Rickhoff family moved to the home in 1985 it was approximately 700 square feet. After many remodels, it has tripled in size and has been decorated almost every Christmas since. The mini-fort was originally a replica play house built for the Rickhoff children. It is now a garden shed.

  10. 1235 Heather-We just keep adding one thing every year.

  11. 19030 Jonathan -Getting the block motivated for the Christmas holiday. Hoping to inspire my neighbors!

  12. 1342 191st -The light show changes every few days, but the Giant Santa is the neighbor's favorite feature.

  13. 19119 Pierce -Welcome to our cheerful little late-’60s Cape Cod—better known around the neighborhood as the "fun" house! Ever since we moved in back in 2023, we’ve made it our mission to bring a little extra color and joy to every holiday. From unicorns and rainbows to glowing lights and festive inflatables, you never quite know what to expect next! For Christmas, we go all out with bright, inclusive decorations and plenty of sparkle—adding more lights (and more laughter) every year. If you’re in the area, take a drive by and see what we’ve come up with this season. We promise it’ll make you smile!

  14. 2327 Hutchison Rd -Experience the magic of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at 2327 Hutchison Road in Flossmoor. This dazzling display brings iconic scenes from the 1971 film to life, including Violet turning violet, Charlie finding the golden ticket, and Veruca’s fate as a “bad egg.” With animated elements and vibrant, hand-crafted characters, the display captures the whimsy and wonder of the classic movie. Highlights include Fizzy Lifting Drink turning Grandpa Joe upside down, mischievous Oompa Loompas, the Wonka gate leading into the factory, all illuminated in colorful lights. Don't forget to look up to catch a glimpse of the Wonkavator! A must-see holiday treat for fans of all ages!Tune into 100.3.
