4th of July Parade in Homewood!

Route: Dixie Highway south to Ridge Road and east to the Izaak Walton Preserve.
The July Fourth Independence Day parade is a Homewood tradition that celebrates the birthday of our great nation and the many faces of our great community. Friends and neighbors will gather along the parade route to enjoy bands and decorated floats. The route starts at St. John Neumann Church located at 17951 Dixie Highway and travels east along Ridge Road, finishing at Izaak Walton Preserve where the volunteers of Izaak Walton will host games, entertainment, and delicious summer fare!
The quiet zone of the parade will be on Dixie Highway from the Homewood Fire Department to Ridge Road.
Please note: Dixie Highway will be closed from Harwood Avenue to Ridge Road, Elm Road from Harwood Avenue to Dixie Highway, Chestnut Road from Harwood Avenue to Dixie Highway and Ridge Road from Martin Avenue to Lions Club Pool. The street closures will begin at 8 a.m. and remain closed until approximately 1:00 p.m.
A small fee has been applied to the entry application for commercial entrants the fee is $20.00 (entrants that promote a commercial venture, or recognize any other entity, organization or business, other than itself.
Non-commercial entrants are free (nonprofit organizations with a 501C, academic schools, veterans’ groups, local service groups, church groups, etc.),

Enclose correct payment (checks only, made out to Village of Homewood).
The Village reserves the right to refuse entrant applications to ensure and maintain the vision and objective of the overall event, and may restrict the number of entrants/participants to meet public safety and event time commitments. Parade placement is based upon space, number of participants, and entertainment.
