The Village of Homewood is committed to keeping residents, businesses and visitors informed, connected and engaged. Through social media, media relations, digital communications, print publications, video, photography and emergency messaging, the Village works to share timely information while telling the stories that make Homewood a great place to live, work and visit.

Under the direction of the Village Manager’s Office, the Communications & Engagement Manager oversees the Village’s communications strategy and Homewood brand, manages media relations and social media, and provides communications and creative support to all Village departments.

Telling Homewood's Story

Homewood has built a strong and positive presence throughout the Chicagoland media market. Since 2024, the Village has been consistently featured by major Chicago television news stations and regional media outlets for positive, community-focused stories highlighting Homewood’s residents, businesses, events, economic development and community character.

Through proactive media outreach and strong relationships with local journalists, the Village continues to find opportunities to share Homewood’s story with audiences throughout the Chicago region.

Leading the Way on Social

Homewood has developed one of the most active and recognizable municipal social media presences in the south suburbs. Through creative campaigns, original photography and video, Reels, public education, event promotion and real-time updates, the Village uses social media to make local government more accessible, engaging and connected to the community.

Our goal is simple: inform our community, create meaningful connections, build civic pride, and tell Homewood’s story in the most authentic and genuine way we can.
