Trustee Jay Heiferman joined the Village Board in 2006 after serving as chair of the Economic Development Committee. 

A Homewood resident since 1968, he attended Churchill School, James Hart School, and Homewood-Flossmoor High School. He holds degrees in Finance and Risk Management from the University of Iowa.

He has over 50 years of involvement in local organizations and Village government. He is a founding member and current director of the Homewood Science Center Board.

Professionally, Jay operated AAA Rental System, a regional event equipment rental company, from 1982 until its sale to Marquee Event Group in 2017. He then served as Vice President of Operations for Marquee and is currently with the Entertainment Division of Hard Rock Live.

Jay can often be seen walking his dogs in the downtown Homewood neighborhood where he's lived for over 30 years.
