New Water Supplier and Transmission Line Information
The Village of Homewood has completed the construction of a dedicated transmission main and booster pump station. The transmission main consists of approximately 12,800 linear feet of 30-inch water main. The pipeline route will connect east of Ashland Ave. and Maple Rd. (intersection) at Homewood Department of Public Works (DPW), and travel eastbound connecting to Chicago Heights in Thornton, IL at 183rd St. and Indiana Ave (intersection). The booster pump station includes three booster pumps and appurtenances needed for a complete and operational system. The exterior of the site has all appropriate lighting, security fence and a backup generator to ensure proper operations during a power outage.
