Overnight Parking Ban Exemption Stickers
Homewood ordinance prohibits any vehicle from parking on a Village street between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Signs are posted at various gateways to Homewood's subdivisions. The ban is in effect for all streets in the Village of Homewood whether or not there is a sign on that street. The parking ban is to facilitate police patrols and to deter crime by making it more difficult for criminals to avoid detection.
To accommodate residents who have insufficient driveway and/or garage capacity, both temporary and extended exemptions to the overnight parking ban may be obtained. Temporary exemptions may be obtained by contacting the Homewood Police Department at 708-206-3420. They are usually contacted for temporary exemptions for overnight guests, driveway repairs, etc.
Extended Overnight Parking Ban Exemption stickers are available at the Village Hall. All vehicles must have current vehicle stickers before the extended overnight parking ban exemption permit may be purchased. Limit of three permits are allowed per household at a cost of $5.00 each. Additional restrictions apply.
Contact the Finance Department at 708-798-3000 regarding any questions pertaining to vehicle stickers.
