Municipal Code of Ordinances

The Homewood Municipal Code of Ordinances is a published compilation of Village laws and their revisions organized according to subject matter (arranged by title, chapter and section). The Municipal Code of Ordinances is updated periodically as new ordinances are adopted by the Village Board.

Under state law, the Village of Homewood is allowed to consolidate its rules, regulations and codes enacted into law by the Village Board of Trustees into a logical and sequential code of ordinances. This document is referenced when clarifying roles, processes and procedures. 

The Village of Homewood publishes its Municipal Code of Ordinances through a service called Municode. When the Village Board of Trustees adopts a new ordinance, or a change is made, the Code of Ordinances is updated to reflect these changes.

Zoning Ordinance

The Village of Homewood Board of Trustees adopted an updated Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map on January 10, 2023. The updated documents are the culmination of 18 months of work by Staff, elected and appointed officials, a planning and zoning consultant, and community members.
