Vehicle Sticker Purchasing Postponed to June 3, 2020.
All motor vehicles registered to a Homewood address, or housed at a Homewood address, must have a current Village vehicle license affixed to the windshield by May 31 of each year. Vehicle stickers go on sale April 1 each year. Vehicles owners whose vehicles are registered with the Village are mailed a vehicle sticker application prior to April 1. To expedite payment processing include this application with the payment.
A $25.00 late charge is assessed on all stickers purchased after May 31. Exceptions are new residents of 30 days or less, or a vehicle purchased within the last 60 days. Proof of residency date or vehicle purchase date is required in both instances.
The vehicle type, make, model, year, color, and license plate number are required when purchasing a sticker for a new vehicle or for a vehicle not already registered with the Village. The vehicle VIN number is not required.

Overnight Parking Ban Exemption Stickers
Homewood ordinance prohibits any vehicle from parking on a Village street between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Signs are posted at various gateways to Homewood's subdivisions. The ban is in effect for all streets in the Village of Homewood whether or not there is a sign on that street. The parking ban is to facilitate police patrols and to deter crime by making it more difficult for criminals to avoid detection.
To accommodate residents who have insufficient driveway and/or garage capacity, both temporary and extended exemptions to the overnight parking ban may be obtained. Temporary exemptions may be obtained by contacting the Homewood Police Department at 708-206-3420. They are usually contacted for temporary exemptions for overnight guests, driveway repairs, etc.
Extended Overnight Parking Ban Exemption permits are available at the Village Hall. All vehicles must have current vehicle stickers before the extended overnight parking ban exemption permit may be purchased. Applications for exemption stickers are available at the Village Hall. Up to three permits are allowed per household at a cost of $5.00 each. Additional restrictions apply.
Contact the Finance Department at 708-798-3000 regarding any questions pertaining to vehicle stickers.
