Temporary Protocol for Non-Emergency Police Reports


In a proactive effort to help reduce the public’s risk of exposure to COVID-19, the Homewood Police will be handling all non-emergency police reports via telephone until further notice. 

If You: 

  • Need to file a police report for non-emergency matter, or 
  • Wish to report a crime that is not in progress, then

Please call (708) 206-3420 ext. 0, to reach the police clerks who will ask you a few brief questions. They will ask you to provide your name and a telephone number where an officer can reach you. A police officer will return your phone call and take the report as soon as an officer is available.

Village of Homewood officials are closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic. 

In the interest of public safety and following state and federal recommendations to limit contact, the following payment options are available for: 

  • Parking and Compliance Citations
  • MOVE Fines
  • Alarm Payments
  1. Check or Credit payments may be left in the drop box in front of Village Hall (2020 Chestnut Road)
  2. Credit Card payments may be made over the phone

Police Department Banner

The Homewood Police Department is responsible for the enforcement of all state laws and most municipal laws (ordinances) in the Village. Services provided by the Department include routine preventive patrol, crime and accident investigations, animal control, traffic and parking enforcement and community policing functions (including crime prevention, neighborhood watch and special outreach programs such as D.A.R.E. and the Police Chief's Citizen Advisory Committee).
